This Product Pricing Policy (“Policy”) explains the cost structure applicable to the use of the crowdfunding services provided through the Platform operated by Chakradhari Foundation, a registered charitable trust having its office at Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi, India (“Chakradhari”, “we”, “us”, “our”).

 

Chakradhari Foundation is committed to transparency in all financial matters. Our mission is to ensure that the maximum possible amount from every donation reaches the intended Beneficiary — the poor, needy, underprivileged, and persons suffering from life-threatening diseases and medical emergencies.

1. Platform Usage Fees

Chakradhari Foundation currently does not charge any platform fee.

 

  • Creating a user account on the Platform is free of charge.
  • Starting, managing, updating, and sharing a fundraising Campaign is free.
  • We do not take any percentage cut, commission, or service fee from the funds raised.
  • Donors are not charged any additional fee by Chakradhari Foundation over and above their donation amount.

 

Our objective is to ensure that 100% of the donated amount (minus Payment Gateway charges, if any) reaches the intended Campaign and Beneficiary.

2. Payment Gateway & Transaction Charges

Although Chakradhari Foundation does not charge a platform fee, third-party Payment Gateway charges (including those levied by IndusInd Bank – IndusCollect service powered by Razorpay Software Pvt Ltd) may apply to transactions:

  • These charges are imposed by banks, payment service providers, or payment aggregators — not by Chakradhari Foundation.
  • Transaction fees may vary based on the payment method selected:
    • UPI: Typically zero or minimal charges.
    • Debit Card: Charges as per RBI/bank norms.
    • Credit Card: Typically 1.5–2.5% of the transaction amount.
    • Net Banking: Flat fee or percentage as per the bank.
    • Wallets: As per the wallet provider’s terms.
  • Any applicable Payment Gateway charges are clearly displayed during the donation checkout process before the transaction is confirmed.
  • Chakradhari Foundation does not control, retain, set, or profit from these third-party charges. All payment processing is subject to the terms and conditions of IndusInd Bank / Razorpay.

3. Taxes

3.1 General Tax Information

  • Donations made through the Platform may be subject to applicable taxes as per prevailing Indian tax laws.
  • Any taxes deducted by Payment Gateways or banks at the time of transaction are borne by the Donor or Campaigner, as applicable.
  • Chakradhari Foundation does not provide tax advisory services and does not guarantee any specific tax treatment.

3.2 Section 80G Tax Exemption

If Chakradhari Foundation holds valid registration under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, Donors may be eligible for tax deductions on their donations as per the applicable provisions of the Income Tax Act. Tax exemption certificates (80G receipts) will be issued to eligible Donors upon request and subject to the Foundation’s 80G registration status.

 

Donors are advised to consult their own tax advisor or Chartered Accountant regarding the tax implications and eligibility for deductions on donations made through the Platform.

3.3 GST

Goods and Services Tax (GST) may apply on certain service charges, if any, as per the applicable GST laws. Any such taxes will be separately indicated during the transaction process.

4. Fee-Free Model — How We Sustain

Chakradhari Foundation operates on a fee-free crowdfunding model. Our operations are sustained through:

  • Voluntary tips or optional contributions from Donors (if such a feature is enabled on the Platform).
  • Corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
  • Grants, donations, and funding received directly by the Foundation.
  • Other lawful means of income as determined by the Foundation from time to time.

 

This model ensures that no portion of a Donor’s intended contribution is diverted as platform fees.

5. Pricing Transparency Commitment

We are committed to full pricing transparency:

  • No hidden charges at any stage of the donation or withdrawal process.
  • No surprise deductions after a donation is made.
  • No post-donation fee changes that affect already-completed transactions.
  • All applicable charges, fees, and taxes (if any) are fully disclosed before a transaction is completed.
  • Campaigners are informed of any deductions (Payment Gateway charges, taxes) before funds are disbursed.

6. Future Changes to Fees

Chakradhari Foundation reserves the right to introduce, modify, or waive fees in the future due to operational, regulatory, or business requirements. In such an event:

  • Updated fee structures will be published on the Platform with adequate prior notice.
  • Changes will not apply retroactively to already-completed transactions.
  • Your continued use of the Platform after the revised fee structure is published constitutes acceptance of the changes.

7. Governing Law

This Pricing Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
